Hollywood Actress Mandy Moore Finalizes Divorce

The lengthy divorce proceedings involving television star Mandy Moore and musician Ryan Adams have finally reached an end.

On her current TV show, “This Is Us,” Moore portrays a happily married woman who just gave birth to triplets. In real life, Moore is still getting over a contentious divorce that involved a fight over spousal support. After a legal battle that lasted more than a year, however, Moore may finally be able to move on with her life: her divorce from Adams is reportedly complete.

Moore and Adams initially filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court at the beginning of 2015, but the couple was unable to arrive at an amicable resolution earlier this summer. It took a few more months for the divorce to be approved by the court.

Moore initially asked for alimony in the divorce, but she later dropped her request.

A major sticking point in the divorce was division of property and other assets. The divorce papers reportedly indicated that Moore will be getting all of her own property in the divorce settlement. This includes expensive jewelry, art, and clothing, as well as a 2013 Prius and a condominium in Beverly Hills, CA. Meanwhile, Adams was reportedly allowed to keep all of his own property, which includes a costly comic book collection, several retro pinball machines, and a 1959 Cadillac.

The couple also reached an agreement over joint property, with Moore getting the residence the couple shared in Los Angeles and two bank checking accounts, while Adams will get a 2008 Porsche Carrera and musical instruments that the couple purchased together.

Interestingly, Moore was also “awarded” the debt on two credit cards. This is something that often comes up during divorces: determining which spouse will be required to pay off the couple’s debts.
