Yet another marriage between celebrities has ended in divorce. Gwen Stefani, the lead singer of popular band No Doubt, and Gavin Rossdale, the lead singer of the popular band Bush, announced in 2015 that they were ending their marriage. The couple’s marriage lasted for almost 13 years, ending only after news outlets reported Rossdale’s alleged infidelity with a family nanny.

Now the power couple has reached a divorce settlement that should make the divorce process go fairly smoothly.

Interestingly, Rossdale did not insist on an equal division of property and assets – something he could have done because the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot in September 2002. As a result of the divorce settlement, Stefani will end up getting more assets than Rossdale. If Rossdale had pressed for an equal distribution of assets, he may have been able to get half of all money earned by Rossdale and Stefani during their marriage, including money that Stefani made from concert touring with her band and album sales.

The spouses also avoided a child custody dispute by agreeing to a 50-50 joint custody split, as well as declining to pursue court-ordered child support. Stefani and Rossdale have three children, ages nine, seven and two.

Lest anyone mistakenly think that divorces are easier for famous people, or for high net worth individuals, Stefani recently made an appearance on Good Morning America and said that the entire divorce process has been extremely painful for her. She also noted that things have been particularly hard on the ex-couple’s children because they had to witness their family breaking up.

It is expected that a California divorce court judge will approve the couple’s divorce settlement.
