Davis and Mendelson is proud to announce that Howard Mendelson will be a speaker at a live seminar offered by the National Business Institute’s Series of Continuing Legal Education for Professionals.  The course, A Divorce Attorney’s Guide to Social Media, Email, and Smartphone Evidence will be held at the Holiday Inn Cherry Hill.  This is being offered on June 6th starting at 9:00 and wrapping up at 4:30.

Program Offerings

This interesting class will delve into how you can better use electronic evidence during your divorce cases.  You’ll learn about how and where to look for evidence in emails, social media, and smartphones.  Plus, it will also go over the proper way to collect the evidence that you find to be used in your divorce case, as you’ll learn how to attest to the digital evidence’s authenticity.

Learn how to show that the evidence collected over social media should not be ruled as hearsay.  The evidence found can also be used to help in the calculation of spousal and child support.  Also, get information on how to best block evidence from being admitted to the court using witnesses and other methods.

As part of this continuing education course, you’ll receive at least an hour towards your Ethics requirements.

Who Can Benefit From Attending?

This course is intended for attorneys, but may also benefit your paralegals in attending this seminar.  Your skill level when it comes to electronics can be at the basic-to-intermediate level.

Every attorney needs to earn their continuing education credits.  This course offers a chance to broaden the tools in your arsenal for fighting for your clients while earning your CE credits.  The Internet is constantly changing the world, so make sure that it doesn’t pass you by for clients.

Registration

You can register for the course at the door, but only if there are still spaces available.  NBI requests preregistration because that means you’re more likely to guarantee your spot for the class.  Those that are not able to attend can purchase a recording of the seminar.
